When I first listened to the soundtrack of one of those
shows that kind of changed my life, I was mesmerized.
I heard new artists that changed me. Changed me in
the way that my passion of the 1990s expanded
and grew into the obscure tracks of brilliant bands.
Frente! quickly became one that I didn't want to forget.
"The Book Song" is not only beautiful and calm,
it is also really great to read to. It's fitting.
Angie Hart's voice is so quirky and so sweet.
The song is like sitting in a real hip library.

Dystopian Novels
Dystopias are sometimes found in science fiction novels and stories.
Please see the article dystopia for discussion of definition.
Note that there is no one definition of dystopia that is agreed upon by all,
as the term is usually used to refer to something much more specific
than simply a nightmare world or unpleasant future.

TRANSGRESSIVE FICTION
Transgressional fiction or transgressive fiction is a genre of literature
that focuses on characters who feel confined by the norms and expectations
of society and who use unusual and/or illicit ways
to break free of those confines.
Because they are rebelling against the basic norms of society,
protagonists of transgressional fiction may seem mentally ill,
anti-social and/or nihilistic.
The genre deals extensively with taboo subject matters
such as drugs, sex, violence, incest, pedophilia, and crime.
How to Talk Dirty and Influence People
Autobiography by Lenny Bruce. In it he discusses the course of his career, which began in the late 1940s.
Bruce challenged the sanctity of organized religion and other societal and political conventions he
perceived as having hypocritical tendencies, and widened the boundaries of free speech.
His performances were intensely controversial for both the subject matter and the vocabulary employed,
and his fight for the freedom of expression made it possible for the work of
subsequent generations of provocative performers.
